Code of Conduct
Badminton Australia
I acknowledge and agree that:
- I have read, understood and agree to abide by the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy (available on the Sport Integrity Australia website HERE), effective from 1 January 2021. This policy has been adopted by Badminton Australia (BA) and is applicable to all participants in Badminton.
- I have read, understood and agree to abide by BA’s National Integrity Framework policies (available on the BA website, effective from 31st March 2022 and applicable to all participants in Badminton.
- I have read, understood and agree that any personal data I provide may be collected, stored and used by Badminton Australia in accordance with BA’s Privacy Policy.
- I have read, understood and agree to abide by all BA policies and codes of conduct and also agree to comply with any other policies adopted by BA and advised to me in future available on the Badminton Australia website.
- It is my responsibility to familiarise myself with these policies, including any updates to the policies and other policies as adopted by BA that I am advised of in future.
- A breach of these policies could result in further action being taken, as outlined in the respective policy.

Smash Serve - Terms & Conditions of Participation
For Kids' Social Play and League Participation
1. General Participation
Participation in Smash Serve social play sessions and leagues is open to children aged 7 to 14, as outlined in the registration form.
Sessions are conducted in a supportive and inclusive environment. Smash Serve reserves the right to modify session times, format, or venues as necessary.
2. Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
A parent or legal guardian must register each child and is responsible for ensuring the participant arrives on time and is collected promptly after each session.
Parents/guardians are expected to behave respectfully toward all staff, volunteers, other parents, and players. Abusive, aggressive, or unruly behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the venue and/or future sessions.
3. Code of Conduct
Participants and parents/guardians must adhere to the following:
- - Treat all players, coaches, volunteers, and officials with respect.
- - Follow the instructions of coaching staff or venue coordinators.
- - Maintain good sportsmanship, regardless of match outcomes.
- - No aggressive or disruptive behaviour (including shouting, pushing, or bullying) will be tolerated from players or parents.
Smash Serve reserves the right to:
- - Remove any player or parent exhibiting inappropriate behaviour.
- - Suspend or cancel participation at its discretion without refund.
4. Assumption of Risk and Injury Liability
While all reasonable care is taken, participation in sports carries inherent risks.
By registering, the parent/guardian acknowledges that:
- - Smash Serve, its staff, volunteers, venue partners, and affiliates accept no responsibility or liability for injury, loss, or damage sustained by a participant before, during, or after any session. - - It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure the child is physically fit and in good health to participate.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to hold personal insurance or private health cover for their child if desired.
5. Medical Treatment Consent
In the event of an emergency, you authorise Smash Serve staff to administer basic first aid or contact emergency services as deemed necessary.
All reasonable attempts will be made to contact parents/guardians immediately.
6. Photography and Media
Smash Serve may occasionally take photographs or videos of sessions for promotional use (social media, website, marketing).
If you do not wish your child to be included, please notify us in writing via email before the first session.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds will not be issued for missed sessions due to personal reasons.
In the event of a session cancellation due to weather, venue issues, or unforeseen circumstances, Smash Serve may offer a make-up session or credit at its discretion.
8. Privacy
Personal information collected via registration is used solely for administrative, operational, and safety purposes and will not be shared with third parties except where required by law.
9. Venue Rules
Participants and parents/guardians must comply with all venue-specific rules and guidelines, including appropriate footwear and facility access restrictions.
Smash Serve is not responsible for any personal property lost or stolen during sessions.
10. Acknowledgement
By submitting the registration form, you acknowledge that you:
